It is too bad that we are not born knowing how to handle our money. Money management takes time and some of us will never learn this lesson in life.   If you never pay a penny in interest charges in your life because you pay your credit card bill in full each month, then you have learned the lessons.  You are one person who then knows how to handle their money.  

Did you only purchase a term life insurance policy?  Or maybe you are not tempted to invest in an investment tip given by a relative or friend.  This too shows you can handle your money with wisdom and understanding.  Perhaps you understand that a sad mistake was just made by your neighbour when he invested in a variable annuity.  Maybe you know something about real estate to know that the worst house in  the best neighborhood will certainly beat the best house in the worst neighborhood.

You probably owe nothing on the car you currently own and by mid-November you already know what your income tax is for that year.  These are all ways that someone who knows how to handle his money thinks and what he has done or not done in his life.
